William

William is a love interest in the book Sails in the Fog.

About William[]

Adelaide first meets William as a child and reject his advances, however when they meet again five years later, she has the chance to either start a relationship with him and eventually marry him, or the two can become good friends.

William was born on the island of Santo Domingo. A young, adventurous boy, he wanted to to become a sailor. When Adelaide first meets him, he is being harassed by Diego de Ochoa's soldiers and she defends him. He is so smitten with her that he kisses her and confesses his love for her, however she only sees him as a child.

After five years from that day, the two meet again. Adelaide hasn't aged because she was stuck on a magical island where the time didn't pass, learning swordsmanship from Ponce de Leon, while William, in the meantime, has become head of the rebel resistance against Diego's tyrannical rule in Santo Domingo. A wanted criminal in the eyes of the Spanish Armada, he has managed to grow into a cunning, respected and strong man. Adelaide can choose to start a relationship with him or to simply stay as a friend.

If William is not with Adelaide, he can have a one-off love scene with the Kelpie spirit in Season 3. Later in the book, Adelaide can match-make him with either Chris, Lorenza or Ivy.

Thanks to his bubbly and sunny personality, William always has a plan and a smile on his face.
