Most choices you make for your Main Character in this book influence one of the following variables: Sun Emissary ☀️ (gentle and emotional) or Moon Heiress 🌙 (composure and restraint), which define your character's personality; as well as Status 📜, which relates to her standing among people and Power of Presence ⌛️, which is connected to your character's magical power. There are also hidden stats that determine the main character's loyalty to Others or to the Church. These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

- The War of the Great Cleansing Fire ended in 1783 and led to the establishment of the Magisterium of Preternatural Affairs.
- The Magisterium of Preternatural Affairs is an organization with branches in every country of the world.
- All members of the magical community are called 'Others'.
- The largest magical factions are witches and warlocks.
- Vampires are prohibited from turning people, which is why this faction is on the brink of extinction.
- Vampires aren't used to working with the rest of the magical community.
- Initiation is carried out by the Magisterium. This procedure is necessary to unlock the full potential of magical powers.
- Very few people know of the Source of Magic. There's no proof of its existence.
- The Catholic Church and the Magesterium often have a hard time getting along.
- Black September is a period of protests of Others in Rome in 1988. They were suppressed by the Magesterium.
