Vera Fritz

Vera is the main character you play as in the book Elite Tag.

Her name can be changed at the beginning of the book, or it can stay her default name. Most choices you make for this character influence one of the following variables: Team Player 🤝, Goal Chaser 💪, and Clout ⭐. These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

About Vera

Vera is a player in the augmented reality game called TAG. Her default TAG name is "fritzburger" but it can be changed in a later episode. She plays the game on weekends to unwind from her mundane office job. Due to her love for the game and how often she plays it on weekends she catches the eye of Mr. Tag and gets recruited by Karl for a more competitive version of the game with a monetary prize.

As a teen Vera worked at the Golden Leo owned by the Tran family, where she met her one of her best friends, Ricky. While working there she met Adrian, and he began flirting with her and frequenting the restaurant. They eventually started dating, and things were good for a while. A year later, her parents died just a few months after she turned twenty. Her parents left her a generous inheritance which she uses to buy a house for her and Adrian to live in together. During this time he becomes increasingly controlling and volatile before disappearing from her life. Vera later finds out that Adrian had borrowed against her inheritance, took out loans, maxed out all the credit cards, and cleaned out every account, leaving her in crippling debt and a mortgage she can't afford.

Vera sees the TAG competition as a way to eliminate some of her debt, although the challenges begin to get more complicated and personal. Later Vera works to take down Mr. Tag and erase her debts with the help of her friends and allies.

In Season 3, a movie is being made about her life and her relationship with Adrian, and Vera has to grapple with a stalker and a world that is outside of her control.

Potential Endings

There are four potential endings for Vera depending on the path you chose and the amount of Clout you have by the end of the story. For the respective ending with each Love Interest, please check out their pages.

Goal Chaser 💪 and High Clout ⭐:[Ending 1: Famous and Fruitful]: The company merged resources with Dita and CrossTalk, and Vera joins as a co-host, which suits her perfectly. She gets to be famous and fruitful while the boring administrative work is someone else's problem.
Team Player 🤝and High Clout ⭐: [Ending 2: Mover and Shaker]: Vera continues to run TAG and enjoys it. Her team approach makes her popular as a boss, and she thrives thinking this is only the beginning.
Goal Chaser 💪 and Low Clout ⭐: [Ending 3: Tried and Failed]: Despite best efforts, TAG folded and is bought out. Vera is left with a hefty payout and little to do. Karl offers to help her find something but she wants to do it on her own, satisfied with how much she’s learned and grown as a person.
Team Player 🤝 and Low Clout ⭐: [Ending 4: Happy and Free]: TAG had folded, but Vera was well-regarded and liked so Vera jumped at the opportunity to sell to be free of business and fame. Now she had everything she ever wanted, peace, quiet, freedom, and comfort. Ricky and Mrs. Tran come over and make her dinner.
