Vanora becomes a love interest in Season 3 in the book Heart of Trespia.
About Vanora[]
Vanora is the Princess of Xael and Queen Megaris's daughter. She first appears in Season 1, Episode 10 when Ellaire finds Vanora's younger brother, Alaric, harassing the townspeople of Lunaris. If you are on the Rationality 🎯 Path, Vanora will apologize for her brother's antics and gift her a ring as a token of gratitude. The ring is made of crystalized luminous coral from the bottom of the Unresting Sea.
Vanora is described as being a rare beauty with graceful etiquette. Her upbringing was a lonely one because of her albinism. Queen Megaris would not allow her to have friends for fear that they would spread rumors about her appearance. As a result, no one knew what she looked like until she arrived in Trespia to marry Ellaire's uncle, Osmont.
After Ellaire loses her throne, Ellaire and Vanora meet again in Season 2, Episode 4, when Vanora requests a medicine that will prevent pregnancy while Ellaire is a healer in Ivydale. She is very respectful of Ellaire's position and recognizes that even if she has lost the title, she is still royal blood and will be treated as such. In exchange for Ellaire's silence about the medicine, she allows Ellaire and her friends to reside in Piel Manor. Vanora is now the Duchess of Coral Ridge but her place is by her husband's side and Piel Manor is not being used. That also means she has revealed herself to Ellaire as the eighth person she will need a petition from in order to win back her place on the throne.
Vanora recognizes that Prince Alaric can be cruel but laments that even as his older sister, she has very little control over him because he is the future king of Xael. She tells Ellaire that she will try to talk sense into him about leaving the villagers alone.
Vanora is not seen again until Season 2, Episode 13 when she meets D'Mario at his palace in Rajahili. Delias and her mother, Herena, were captured by Alaric's men and Alaric had planned to use her against Ellaire to get what he wants. Upon discovery, Vanora arranges a secret convoy to escort them to Rajahili.
The other reason for her visit is revealed later. Vanora signed her petition and gave it to D'Mario, telling him to only give it to Ellaire if she meets two conditions. The first, respond positively to D'Mario's suggestions, and show a willingness to take out her enemies with more vigor. The second, gift her the Heart of Trespia.
As a child, Vanora drank so much herbal wine she can no longer get intoxicated from it. The royal physician said it was supposed to cure her of the disease that makes her so ghostly. It didn't work and the healer was executed for his failure and she was confined to the top of the castle, away from all eyes. Later, Queen Megaris discovers from King Osmont that only the Heart of Trespia could heal her. This is why Vanora makes that one of her conditions for the signed petition.
In Season 3, after the trial, Ellaire reclaims the throne but Queen Megaris is angry with Vanora for her actions. Regardless of this, Vanora tells Ellaire that she will be leaving with Queen Megaris to go back to Xael. Ellaire asks what Queen Megaris has planned but Vanora refuses to betray her own mother. This is the first romantic scene that you are able to take with her in Season 3, Episode 2. She also gives Ellaire the Heart of Trespia back, saying that she is unable to destroy something so cherished for her own selfish ends.
Before Vanora leaves, she makes one last request of Ellaire. Leniency for her brother at his trial the next day. Ellaire makes no promises but if Ellaire chooses to punish Alaric with the poison, there may be consequences for her later.
When Ellaire arrives at Buenaventura Castle for the Grand Summit, she requests to see Vanora but is denied by the guards stating that she is not accepting visitors at this time. Suspicious, Ellaire asks Delias to investigate. Delias discovers that Vanora is being held at Ackerleigh Manor, a secluded place with only a few guards. Ellaire decides she's going to sneak out and pay her a visit.
Initially, When Ellaire and Reinhold meet her at the Manor, Vanora is reluctant to help them because she doesn't want to betray her mother. After Ellaire and her friends are sent back to Trespia, Vanora changes her mind and meets her with her and her council to negotiate a tentative alliance.

Possible Endings[]
- Romance path: Ellaire and Vanora decide to remain unwed and continue to turn down potential suitors. Vanora tries to visit regularly and sends Ellaire a poem each week. In order to share a future together, Vanora has been using her title as acting regent of Xael to train prospective Xaelian heirs.
- Friendship path with both Vanora and Reinhold: Reinhold has begun courting Vanora. While it isn't necessarily a love match, it is a future filled with many possibilities. They are currently long distance and will stay that way for the foreseeable future but Ellaire is confident they will find a way to be together.
- Friendship path with Vanora but romance path with Reinhold: Vanora acts as regent of Xael until an appropriate heir comes forth.
- If you did not have a strong bond: Vanora dies during the battle.
