Tori is a love interest in the book Gladiator Chronicles.

About Tori[]

Tori and Rix are already in a romantic relationship as this book starts, and according to Rix's mother they "have been together for a while" (S1, Ep1) so she offers Rix a present - a brooch Rix's father gave her - to give to Tori.

After Planet Paitrum has been conquered by the Clerics, Rix and Tori are separated and at the moment of writing we don't know what happened to Tori. At the end of Episode 4 and in Episode 5, however, we hear Tori's voice trying to get in touch with Rix through an earcom. Due to the fact that the earcom is damaged, Rix wasn't able to communicate back to her.

In Season 1 Episode 8, Rix is finally able to make contact with Tori. She is still on Paitrum but is vague with details. The call disconnects when someone Tori is visibly afraid of shows up and inquires what is taking so long.

In Season 2 Episode 2, Rix sees Tori again in Paitrum. She is living in Orvon's old house and says she has been assigned to a man. She does not elaborate much, just assures Rix that he is respectful. Rix leaves his cat with her to take care of until he can come back and get it.

Rix and Tori reunite again in Episode 4 when she manages to escape the crumbling arena with him and the other gladiators.

In Season 3, Episode 4, Rix discovers information on all of the people in their group. For Tori, they describe her as: Has good leadership potential and a high degree of empathy and trust. Despite the fact that she often remains on the sidelines, she demonstrates a high level of intelligence and resourcefulness.

Trivia[]

She and Rix are already in a relationship by the time the story takes place. In Episode 9, you have the option to break up with her.

Dislikes: being alone, the deserts of Paitrum, letting emotionals outweigh reason
According to her official RC Character card: Tori's family settled on Paitrum a couple of decades ago as a result of an unfortunate but funny case. After spending the night in Kardom, the travelers discovered in the morning that their transport ship was missing parts. Deciding that this was a sign of fate (or maybe the price for the delivery of rather rare components was too high), the family decided to stay on a deserted planet, located far from the hype and large hubs.^[1]

Possible endings[]

If Rix does not defeat the Pontifex: it is implied she dies.
If Rix defeats the Pontifex:
- Romance path: Tori tells Rix she wants to travel to see the universe. She wants to go someplace where no one knows them and start a new life. She promises Rix they will come back if things start going bad again and he feels like his help is needed, but then we are told that everything kept being well and they ended up never returning.
- Otherwise: She falls in love with Gars and they go traveling together.
