Thor is a love interest in the book Path of the Valkyrie.
About Thor[]
Thor is the god of thunder in the Aesir pantheon and owner of the mythical hammer Mjolnir.
When his daughter Thrud ran off with her boyfriend Thorri, her mother Sif was worried sick. Thor's step-son Ullr helped to track them down and brought a letter back to his mother. Thanks to this letter, Thor was able to track Thrud and Thorri, which led to a confrontation where he lost his temper and the couple died. Despite Thor swearing that it was an accident, he was accused of killing his own daughter.
Thor is very loyal to his father Odin and does what the Allfather tells him. By his command, Thor and Odin's wife Frigg try to capture Liv, a human from Midgard, but ultimately fail to do so. Liod, a giantess and valkyrie who was very close with Thrud, then challenges Thor to a duel called "Holmgang".
After failing his mission, Odin takes Thor's hammer Mjolnir away as a punishment. Thor decides to spend a year as a "huskarl" (bodyguard) of a black elf blacksmith named Andvari in exchange for his craftsmanship of the replacement of Mjolnir. In Season 2, he and Andvari agree to help the group Liv and her friends to accompany them on their journey through the Nine Realms.
Thor is a grumpy and ill-tempered person, with so much anger that spirals out of control. He is proud of his powers and displeased with any weakness. He has difficulties controlling his tantrums and rarely shows any kindness. He's suffering from being responsible for the death of his daughter Thrud and her boyfriend and starts to show more and more remorse as the story progresses. Spending time with the group on their adventures plants makes him question his original belief that the Allfather is always right. He gets more vulnerable with Liv and even tries to repair his relationship with Ullr.
