Isla Lee

Isla is a Senior Field Agent with The Parallel Universes Bureau (PUB). She is a workaholic who was sent to Belchester Village on a 'working holiday' to force her to relax.
Some choices you make for your Main Character in this book influence one of the following variables: Expertise 🏅 (your authority as a PUB agent) and Empathy 💌 (favors a patient, open-hearted approach) or Efficiency ⚙️ (prefers a direct, solutions-focused approach). These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

Albert is a groundskeeper for the local church, who acts in secret as the Knight of the Belchester Gate, guarding against the intrusion of Supernatural creatures. Though outwardly gruff, he cares deeply for the town and those he is closest to.
Nettie Kim

Henrietta 'Nettie' Kim is the researcher and assistant to Albert Knight. Spiky and withdrawn, she has a deep curiosity for all things folklore, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Folklore and Mythology. Albert hired her after saving her from a gang of roving goblins.

Orion is the Lord of the Belchester Court. Orion takes his job seriously and severely punishes any dissent or threat to the peace of his domain. Isla describes him as a good and just ruler, but perhaps not a good person.
Glim

Glim is a pixie who works as a personal attendant to Lord Orion. Jovial, excitable and dedicated, she frolicked with her brothers and sisters for many years before deciding to come to Court.
Supernatural Realm
Angus
Lord Angus is a fairy who acts as ambassador to "those who walk", i.e. bipedal Supernatural creatures. He has a nasty personality.
Rowan
Lord Rowan acts as ambassador to "those who gallop", i.e. quadrupedal Supernatural creatures. He has a long history with the Court and with the Knight family.
Violet
Lady Violet is a fairy who acts as ambassador to "those who fly", i.e. winged Supernatural creatures. She has a haughty and superior attitude.
Colin
Colin is a brownie: household spirits who perform chores by night while the household is asleep. He works for Lord Orion and is often panicked and frightened.
Undine
Undine are water spirits that often take the form of beautiful women. They are noted for their beautiful voices and ethereal charm.
Spriggan
Spriggan are treelike creatures from Cornish folklore. They guard hidden treasures and are hostile to anybody who approaches.
Dullahan
The Dullahan is an Irish variation on the creature more commonly known as 'the headless horseman'. It is an 'Unseelie': one of the wicked fairies.
Mundane Realm
Locke Hill
Locke is an Australian bartender at The Plough. He moved to Belchester two years ago and has a big crush on Nettie.
Constable Archie Smythe
A Constable in Belchester. He strongly dislikes Albert because of the substantial allowance that Albert gets from village funds.
Mayor Asmee Mehta
Asmee Mehta is the Mayor of Belchester and is interested in Albert romantically. She is a seasoned politician who takes her job as mayor very seriously.
