Tallis is a love interest in the book W: Time Catcher who can only be romanced in a polyamourous relationship with Onyx. A monogamous relationship with Tallis is unavailable.

About Tallis

Tallis was cursed by an Other and only recovers if Onyx finds the right counter-spell. If you have enough Power of Presence points you can save him in Season 1, Episode 9.

If Tallis is alive and you choose "Noticed the tenderness in Tallis' gaze as he looked at Onyx." in Season 1, Episode 11, you have the opportunity to enter polyamourous relationship with Tallis and Onyx. On this path, each member of the triad will have deep feelings for the other two. This path will be availabe to those who are romancing Onyx and have a good relationship with both characters. If you choose a different love interest, you can push Onyx and Tallis toward each other. A monogamous relationship with Tallis is unavailable.

Tallis became animamorph quite late in his life. A raven with Presence chose 6-year-old Tallis as Successor, a person to transfer his essence to at the end of their life. Raven's body died, but their spirit continues to live within now-animamorph Tallis. The process could be compared to being reborn for the raven. When Tallis started getting plumage, his mom believed it was a disease until he finally turned into a raven completely. His parents are embarassed by his nature, but they still love him.

Tallis always prefered to be in his raven form. At one point in his life, he decided to stay in his animal form forever and did not share with anyone that he was an animamorph. After being saved from the curse by Nova, he started transforming into his human form again. However, due to spending years as a raven only, at first, his movement as a human was not coordinated, his voice sounded hoarse and speaking did not come easily to him. Time was needed for him to relearn how to inhabit the human form.

During the course of the story Tallis shows a lot of kindness, wisdom, patience and honesty. He is a considarate and understanding person who does not jump to conclusions and accepts people as they are.

If you have not chosen Onyx as your only Love Interest, then in Season 2, Episode 5, you may learn that Tallis has been in love with Onyx for a long time. He believes it is not mutual, because if Onyx was interested, it would be obvious. He also says that he knows that Onyx does not realize that he has feelings for her/him and that he came to terms with the fact that his feelings will not be reciprocated and he's glad he can be Onyx's friend, which shows his receptiveness and humility. If you are only friends with Tallis, you can encourage him to not give up and try to talk to Onyx about his feelings. You can also see his loyalty and considerateness if you've chosen Onyx as your Love Interest and decided to open polyamourous branch with Tallis. In this case, in the same scene, he also explains that he doesn't want to get in the way between you and Onyx and will be happy for you two, with time. Still, Nova reassures him that she enjoys spending time with both of them and proposes to do just that: spend time together and strengthen their bond, which he sheepishly accepts.

In S2, Ep5 Tallis reveals to Nova that he asked Vesper to let him join the Incineration Alliance, but that she said it was too soon, even though Onyx vouched for him.

When Tallis learns Nova's secret, he tries to be open-minded and understanding, keeping in mind that he and Onyx does not know the full picture. He does not turn his back on Nova, but keeps his distance for a while.
