Main Character
Adelaide

The Main Character in this book is called Adelaide by default. You cannot change her name, but you can personalise her appearance by choosing between six different facial features and 25 hairstyles. More hairstyles and outfits become available throughout the story, some of which are dependent on the path you are on.
The story follows her adventures as she boards a pirate ship while escaping an arranged marriage to Spanish Admiral Diego de Ochoa.
Sebastian's Crew
Sebastian

Sebastian, known also as 'The Wave's Mate', is the very skilled captain of the pirate ship called The First Swallow.
He was tricked by Slippery Nick in giving away his heart, which he can or cannot get back at the end of the book depending on your choices. He can be a Love Interest for Adelaide and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
A very valiant, capable and friendly character, he helps Adelaide in her fight against Davy Jones and the Fog.
Chris

Chris is a sailor on The Walrus, the boat commanded by Captain Flint.
She is actually a woman, however she disguises herself as a man as she wanted to escape a life of misery as a prostitute on her honw island. During the course of the story, depending on your choices she can potentially start dressing as a woman again.
She can be a Love Interest for Adelaide and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
William

Adelaide first meets William as a child in their home town of Santo Domingo. An adventurous boy, he wants to join Sebastian's crew, however he is too young to do so. When Adelaide meets him again, five years later, he is a prisoner on The Walrus, the boat commanded by Captain Flint.
After getting freed thanks to Adelaide's persuasion/fighting skills, he will reveal that he is actually the head of the resistance against Diego de Ochoa's wicked rule in Santo Domingo.
He can be a Love Interest for Adelaide and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
Jackie

Jackie is the Quartermaster of The First Swallow, and Sebastian's close mate. His real name is Njai-Gende and he was meant to be sold into slavery as a child. He managed to escape the slave ship thanks to pirate Bartholomew Robert - also known as Black Bart - boarding the slave trader's ship.
Impressed by the boy's courage, Black Bart invited him on his own ship as a cabin boy, and taught him everything about being a pirate and a man of refined taste and culture.
Jackie can potentially lose a hand if Adelaide doesn't save him. He can be a Love Interest for Adelaide and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
Seamus
Seamus is the boatswain of The First Swallow, and Sebastian's close mate. He is very loyal to his captain and friendly to all the crew members. Seamus can potentially lose an eye and, on a separate occasion, can also be washed away into the ocean if Adelaide doesn't save him.
Bobby
Bobby is a sailor on The First Swallow. He is good friends with Seamus and Jackie. At first he appears to be unpleasant toward Adelaide, but soon becomes more friendly.
He is a whimsical person and the comic relief of the story. Passionate about sewing, he is an excellent tailor, making dresses for Margaret, a prostitute from Tortuga whom he is in a happy relationship with.
Spanish Armada
Diego

Diego de Ochoa is a decorated Admiral and aristocrat from Spain who was supposed to marry Adelaide. He is the primary antagonist of this story.
He is a cruel, selfish man who only thinks about himself. He only wants to marry Adelaide because she's the governor's daughter and this would help him gain more power.
Despite being Adelaide's enemy, he can become a Love Interest for her and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
Juan
Juan de Arsenera is an officer working for Diego de Ochoa. Sly and evil, he has no mercy towards Adelaide or her crew.
Depending on your choices, he might lose his wig during the course of this story and be cursed to be forever bald.
Senior Soldier
The Senior and Junior Soldier are part of the Spanish Armada and work for Diego de Ochoa. Depending on your choices, they can be convinced to switch sides and help Adelaide instead.
Junior Soldier
The Senior and Junior Soldier are part of the Spanish Armada and work for Diego de Ochoa. Depending on your choices, they can be convinced to switch sides and help Adelaide instead.
Captain Flint's Crew
Flint
Flint is the cruel and scheming captain of The Walrus. He found her while she was stranded on the island where she had met Ponce. Ruthless, bad tempered and mistreating his crew, he is soon put in his place by Adelaide, and loses her post as Captain.
He gets abandoned to die on a deserted island, however he will return as a spirit to torment Adelaide and her crew.
Dirty Lou
Lou - known as Dirty Lou due to his unkept appearance - is a sailor on The Walrus. Much like Captain Flint, Lou is unfriendly, especially toward Adelaide, but depending on your choices he can eventually be useful to her and become an ally.
He oftentimes serves as comic relief.
Pew
Pew - called in this way due to his wooden leg - is a sailor on The Walrus. Depending on your choices he can eventually be useful to Adelaide and become an ally.
Silver
Silver is a veteran pirate and the navigator on The Walrus. Depending on your choices he can eventually be useful to Adelaide and become an ally.
Billy Bones
Billy Bones is the first mate on The Walrus. A cunning and ruthless person, he won't hesitate to betray Adelaide when convenient to him.
Ben Gunn
Ben Gunn is a sailor on the Walrus. Depending on your choices he can either die in a mad frenzy during a stop on a cursed island, or survive and remain part of The Walrus crew.
The Spirits
Mermaid

Mermaid, also known as the Siren, is the spirit you encounter if you’ve chosen the path of White Magic. She will become your personal spirit. Although Adelaide cannot marry her, you have a chance to seduce her, have romantic scenes with her, and even choose to join her for eternity at the very end of the book, if you have enough White Magic point to save her life, hence abandoning the person you originally married.
Manta

Manta is the dark spirit you encounter if you’ve chosen the path of Black Magic. He will become your personal spirit. Although Adelaide cannot marry him, you have a chance to seduce him, have romantic scenes with him, and even choose to join him for eternity at the very end of the book, if you have enough Black Magic point to save his life, hence abandoning the person you originally married.
Baron Samedi

Samedi is Brigitte's husband. He is strongly connected to the path of Black Magic, hence he is harsher and more dismissive than his wife. You can have Adelaide seduce him or ask him to join her and Brigitte in a threesome scene.
Maman Brigitte

Brigitte is Samedi's wife. She is strongly connected to the path of White Magic, hence she is kinder and more friendly than her husband. You can have Adelaide seduce her or ask her to join her and Samedi in a threesome scene.
The Spirits
Adelaide meets the Spirits when she is introduced to magic. She asks them to mentor her but before they do she asks for forgiveness for how her ancestors treated them. The Spirit abandon Adelaide briefly, tricked by Slippery Nick into serving Diego, however they eventually return to Adelaide.
The Dark Spirits
The Dark Spirits - the Slave Trader, the Inquisitor and the Blood Queen - are evil spirits that initially pretend to help Diego but then abandon him to try and gain power for themselves. Adelaide and her crew battle them in Season 5, and defeating them can be more or less difficult depending on how many allies you have recruited.
Ponce de Leon
Ponce de Leon is an old man Adelaide finds on a deserted island. While on the island, he teaches her to fight and tells her about magic and her ancestor, Garcia. You will eventually discover that Ponce has been alive for a very long time, kept that way by the magic on that island, and he actually took part in the Cortez conquest of South America and knew Garcia and Cortez personally.
When Adelaide leaves the island, Ponce dies, however he returns as a spirit and you have a diamond choice to bind him to your galleon so that he will help Adelaide in her fight against Davy Jones.
He is likely modeled after Juan Ponce de Léon, a Spanish explorer and conquistador.
Slippery Nick
Slippery Nick is a devil who tries to trick humans into giving him their soul. He is the one who manipulated Sebastian and his first love, Conchita, condemning their relationship to a tragic ending. He also conspires with Diego as he tries to take revenge on Adelaide.
Kelpie
Adelaide encounters the kelpie when exploring the ghost ship Santa Maria, one of Cortez's ships. The kelpie is a shape-shifting spirit originary from Scotland and in this book appears either as a woman or as a horse. Depending on your choices, she might become Adelaide's ally. She can also have a one-off sex scene with either Jackie, Sebastian, Will or Chris - as long as you pick them to explore the Santa Maria with Adelaide and the person you pick is not Adelaide's love interest.
Anansi
Anansi is the divine weaver and depending on your choices he can become Adelaide's ally in the final battle.

Kai the Whaler

Tom Good
Tom Good is a cheap English pirate that loves to haggle.
Depending on your choices he can join Adelaide and become her ally in the fight against Davy Jones.
His ship is called the Swordbreaker.
Jacques Lumiere
Jacques Lumiere is a French pirate who loves to drink wine and sleep around.
Depending on your choices he can join Adelaide and become her ally in the fight against Davy Jones.
His ship is called the Surprise.
Ivy
Ivy is a female pirate captain that Adelaide meets at sea. She says she is from Morocco.
Depending on your choices she can join Adelaide and become her ally in the fight against Davy Jones. The first time you meet her she has seized a slave ship and intends to sell the cargo, however Adelaide can either convince her or threaten her to let the men free, and they subsequently get added to Adelaide's crew. Adelaide can then forgive her or curse her.
Ivy's ship used to be called the Tomboy but she lost it during a battle.
Bartolomeo Roberts
Bartolomeo Roberts - also known as 'Black Bart' - is the pirate captain who saved Jackie from the ship where he was enslaved. He took the young boy under his wing and taught him not only about pirate life, but also about manners and etiquette. Jackie considers him the reason why he is so well read and educated.

Lorenza Capulet is an Italian noblewoman on her way to an arranged marriage.Depending on your choices she can join Adelaide and become her ally in the fight against Davy Jones. She can also be a Love Interest for her and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
Clive

Clive Wellington is a naval officer and governor-general of a British coastal colony. Depending on your choices he can join Adelaide and become her ally in the fight against Davy Jones. He can also be a Love Interest for her and potentially marry her at the end of the book.
Mother
Adelaide's mother is the wife of the Governor of Santo Domingo. She cares very much for her family but also supports her husband in his decision to marry off their daughter to a Spanish Admiral, believing this will ensure her a comfortable future.
Father
Adelaide's father is the Governor of Santo Domingo. Due to the family's financial problems and no apparent male heir he arranges for Adelaide to marry an aristocrat from Spain.
Chaplain
The Chaplain of Santo Domingo is tasked with marrying Adelaide and Diego and comforting prisoners. Depending on your choices in the book, the Chaplain can become Adelaide's ally, support her and travel with her, or he can remain in Santo Domingo at Diego's service.
Margaret
Margaret is a prostitute on Tortuga and the girlfriend of Bobby the sailor. A gentle and caring woman, she seems to be very happy in her relationship with Bobby.
Jeremy
Jeremy is the tailor in the town of Santo Domingo. He is friend with William, and helps Adelaide and the crew while they fight against Diego. He is married to Gertrude. Jeremy and Gertrude used to work for Adelaide's family and still keep Adelaide's parents in great regards. They might shelter them if you choose to leave the parents at the tailor's home.
Gertrude
Gertrude is Jeremy's wife. They both used to work for Adelaide's family and still keep Adelaide's parents in great regards. They might shelter them if you choose to leave the parents at the tailor's home.
Conchita
Conchita was Sebastian's first love. Due to a misunderstanding created by Slippery Nick, she cursed him and killed herself. She will return as a ghost to haunt him. Depending on your choices, she can become an enemy or an ally to Adelaide.
