Earl Reinhold is the monarch of Coral Ridge, the biggest province in Trespia. According to Cyril, Earl Reinhold is one of the most powerful noblemen in Trespia only after Duke Osmont. He first appeared in S1, Ep2 at the village of Ivydale to collect taxes from the villagers. Learning that Ellaire Ymeri (default name of the main character: MC) is a decent healer, he decided to keep her and Wyatt le Roux in Piel Manor. Mentioning that he has suffered from insomnia for years, he hopes she will come up with a formula for a sleep remedy. In return, he will consider reducing the tax extortion. Due to his lack of sleep, Ellaire described him once as "drawn and haggard". His childhood friend Lady Christine later revealed that his bloodline has been cursed, even the sweetest fruit is tasteless to their tongues, and they never live to their forties. Ellaire and her friends are going to find the cure for his curse.
Reinhold Piel is an unapproachable man and conceals any emotion. Devoted to his duty as a monarch, Reinhold is ruthless and cynical, and finds it hard to trust people. However, Cyril mentioned that he is a man of honour and always keeps his words. In the later chapters in Season 1, you could learn that there are reasons behind his mask. In diamond scenes, he revealed to us his vulnerability with his illness and living in his reclusive mansion during all the lonely years.
Against all odds, the conspiracy behind his sickness has been finally revealed towards the end of Season 1. Ellaire manages to cure him and, in return, Reinhold keeps his end of the bargain by lowering the taxes in Ivydale and works toward becoming a better Earl. When Reinhold discovers Ellaire's identity, he is hurt and confused but quickly understands her deceit and moves on. He asks Ellaire to take him to the palace so he can have a discussion with her uncle Osmont. Unfortunately, the meeting at the palace does not go according to plan and Reinhold is stripped of his title and family manor.
In Season 2, despite his misfortunes, he continues to support Ellaire with whatever he can provide. Their fondness continues to grow if you choose to reciprocate or you could choose to remain friends with him. After months helping Gisella and her group defend and take care of Ivydale, it is Reinhold who comes up with the idea to get the petitions from the Trespian monarchs to put Elliare back on the throne. Queen Vanora allows him and his friends to stay at Piel Manor until they leave and Reinhold takes it upon himself to draw up a plan and the best route to take to accomplish their mission.
After many obstacles and almost losing an eye, the group are victorious and Elliare is back on the throne. Season 3 sees Reinhold at the Trespian palace with his title and manor reinstated. Ellaire also offers him the temporary roll of her Advisor until he completes the qualifications to fill it permanently or someone else steps in. Throughout Season 3 we see Reinhold become an invaluable Advisor at Queen Ellaire's side.

Possible endings[]
Romance path: Ellaire and Reinhold are happily married. Reinhold can either be King Consort or King, depending on your choices. Either way he steps down from his temporary role of Advisor but still offers invaluable insight whenever Ellaire needs it. Ellaire and Reinhold have not been blessed with an heir yet, despite their efforts.
Friendship path if you have a strong friendship with Vanora: Reinhold has begun courting Vanora. While it isn't necessarily a love match, it is a future filled with many possibilities. They are currently long distance and will stay that way for the foreseeable future but Ellaire is confident they will find a way to be together.
Friendship path if you did not have a strong friendship with Vanora: Reinhold steps down as the temporary Advisor and pursues a life of leisure. He is content serving his Coral Ridge subjects and being among his friends.
