This page lists the characters appearing in the book Path of the Valkyrie, however very minor characters that have minimal bearing on the story have been omitted from this list.
Main Character[]
Liv

The Main Character in this book. Her default name is Liv but it can be changed by the player. Liv is a human who collects valuable treasures for clients. She stumbles across a glowing key that transports her to Asgard, where she wakes up in the body of the god Loki and starts her adventure through the Nine Realms.
Love Interests[]
Loki
This character is a possible Love Interest.Click here to learn more about Loki on his individual character page.
Loki is a god living in Asgard known for being mischievous and untrustworthy. When Liv originally arrives in Asgard, she is in Loki's body and Loki is in hers. After they switch back, they decide to go to Mimir to find out why Liv is there and how she can get back home to Midgard.
Sagr

Sagr is a god with Vanir Blood. He is also an herb master and healer. Loki is living with him when Liv shows up and he agrees to join them on their journey to Mimir.
Ullr

Ullr is a god associated with archery. He is the son of Sif and the stepson of her husband Thor. Sagr and Loki seek him out to recruit him for their journey to Mimir because of his skills at navigation.
Liod
This character is a possible Love Interest.Click here to learn more about Liod on her individual character page.
Liod is a giantess and swordsmith in the Muspelheim realm. She was a Valkyrie but left Valhalla to seek revenge on Thor. Liod enters the story when Liv needs a weapon and she decides to join the group on their journey to Mimir.
Vanadis

Vanadis is an old friend of Sagr. She decides to join the group to search for Mimir.
Thor
This character is a possible Love Interest in Season 2 and 3.Click here to learn more about Thor on his individual character page.
Thor is Odin's son and the god of thunder. He first appears alongside Frigg to search for Liv and bring her to Odin but fails his mission.
Andvari
This character is a possible Love Interest in Season 2 and 3.Click here to learn more about Andvari on his individual character page.
Andvari is a black elf and accomplished blacksmith. He leads the group to the Tower where they hope to find Hanar, one of his friends.
Gods and Goddesses[]
Odin
Odin is chief among the Aesir and the strongest among the gods. He is also the ruler in Asgard and missing one eye. Odin assigned Thor to search for Liv for an unknown purpose.
Frigg
She is the wife of Odin, and the goddess associated with foresight and wisdom. She dwells in the wetland halls of Fensalir.
Hod
Hod is the son of Frigg and Odin, and brother of Baldr.
Freya
She is a goddess with Vanir blood but chose to support Odin. Mother of Vanadis and sister of Freyr.
Freyr
Freyr is the brother of Freya. He hates violence and fighting. He has a ship named Skidbladnir.
Tyr
Tyr is Odin's son and the god of war.
Baldr
Baldr is the god of light, joy, purity, and the summer sun in Norse mythology. He is the son of the god Odin and the goddess Frigg. Killed in S3, Ep3 by suspected poisoning.
Sif
Sif is Thor's wife. It is unclear if they are still together or already separated.
Hel
Hel is the goddess of death. She rules over the realm of the dead (Helheim) and is Loki's daughter.
Thrud
Thrud is the goddess of power, trees, flowers, and grass. She is the daughter of Thor and Sif. Liod accused Thor of killing Thrud but Thor denied it. He told Sif that Thrud was accidentally killed while trying to protect her boyfriend Thorri.
Giants (Muspelheim/Jotunheim)[]
Snaer
Snaer is a giant in Jotunheim and father of Mjoll. He's Liod's nephew.
Mjoll
Mjoll is a young girl in Jotunheim, realm of the giants. She's the daughter of Snaer the Jotunn.
Bergelmir
Bergelmir is the leader of a Jotunn group seeking revenge on Thor.
Angrboda
Angrboda lives in the Iron Forest. She used to be with Loki and they have three children together - Hel, Jörmungandr, and Fenrir.
Light Elves (Ljosalfheim)[]
Gleipa
Gleipa is a friend of Vanadis in Ljosalfheim and a good healer.
Black Elves (Svartalfheim)[]
Hanar
Hanar is a magnificent blacksmith. He disappears after creating the Tower which is a living and imperfect copy of the Nine Realms.
Humans (Midgard)[]
Etien
Etien is a young man in his twenties. Co-worker of Liv.
The Tower[]
Two-Stone
Two-Stone is a guardian of the Tower.
Red Thor
Red Thor is an alternative version of Thor that lives in the Tower.
Kjormt[]
Yngvar
Yngvar is a boy in the Kjormt village who meets Ullr in the forest.
Brand
Brand is the elder in the Kjormt village.
Thorp[]
Isangrim
Isangrim is a mysterious old man in a hood who saved Vanadis in Thorp. His true identity will be revealed later in the story.
White Witch
The White Witch is a mysterious and feared magician living in a swamp. Her true identity will be revealed later in the story.
Valkyries[]
Rota
Rota is a Valkyrie with golden hair.
Goll
Goll is a Valkyrie with red hair.
Alvita
Alvita is a Valkyrie.
Rangrid
Rangrid is a Valkyrie.
Other characters[]
Dagrun
Dagrun is a good friend of Vanadis. Associated with snakes.
Modgud
Modgud is the female guardian of the bridge over the river Gjöll. She allowed the newly dead to use the bridge to cross from one side of the river Gjöll to the other if the soul stated their name and business.
