Ozar is a love interest in the book And the Haze Will Take Us.
About Ozar[]
Ozar is the grandson of the High Priestess. He is the village's Magus because he bears a mark of the gods on his chest, making him the only one who has heard the dying breath of the gods and is able to talk to them. Ozar feels and hears their messages - a gift which manifested itself when he turned 18. Because of his status and good looks, a lot of girls from the village have a crush on him, and Ozar doesn't seem to miss out on anything.
Before the beginning of the story, Ozar never paid much attention to Lada because she always seemed too prim and proper, aloof and indifferent to him. He only starts to properly notice her when he sees her dance on her birthday. After the High Priestess finds out about Lada's ability to see and hear things others don't, she suggests that Lada becomes Ozar's student.

Trivia[]
- The author decribes Ozar as follows: He speaks softly, his movements are slow and lazy, like a cat, and he narrows his eyes, looking into your soul. He knows when to smile, and how to talk to women to woo them. He's not a jokester. He's a hunter. And there's a certain danger in him. You don't know what to expect from him, but you should definitely expect something, because he's cunning, clever, and calculating. He is very confident and knows what kind of impression he's making.[1]
- When he was younger, Ozar had a hard time watching the animal sacrifices and imagined to be somewhere else when he was brought to them. He only got used to them after a while.
