The main character (MC) is a girl. Her default name is Emma, but players can change it at the start of the game. Her appearance can be personalized by choosing from four different facial features and over 25 hairstyles. More hairstyles and outfits become available as the story progresses. Depending on which path you choose to follow, you will have different outfits available.
The story follows her as she moves to Los Angeles to realize her dream of becoming an actress.
Directors
David Tarino

David Tarino is one of Hollywood's most renowned film directors. MC is a big fan of him. The first film we see him working on is 'Dream City'. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 2. David's friends include Thomas (actor), Ellen (model) and Anthony Wood (director).
He struggles with expressing his feeling towards other people, especially MC, and he reveals this vulnerability to her in several scenes within the story. You can choose to reciprocate his feelings or remain friends with him.
In a scene in Season 2, Episode 2, MC jokingly describes Tarino as loving mocha coffee, black and white old movies, cinnamon buns and pointy shoes.
David is not a very easy person to get along with as he has a bad temper. According to what Samantha says in a diamond scene, David is a terribly jealous and possessive person and he wants his lover to have eyes only for him. He broke up with all his girlfriends because of jealousy.
He likes mocha, black and white movies, cinnamon buns, pointy shoes and head massages.
Mikael Anders
Mikael Anders works in Hollywood as a film director. He is married and says he loves his wife very much and would never betray her. He is a bit eccentric but otherwise a friendly and honest person.
Mikael Anders appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 1.
The first film we see him working on is a period piece (the title is not specified but from the dialogue, it is clear that it is Pride and Prejudice). The second film we see him working on is a horror film called 'The House in the Forest'. He works for a film studio called Tod Pictures.
Danny Ditto
Danny Ditto is a film director, he appears for the first time in Season 2, Episode 3 while he was looking for a leading actress for his movie called "Ghosts".
MC learns the reason why no one comes to cast for his film the hard way.
Anthony Wood
Anthony Wood is a famous film director and friend of David Tarino and Samantha. He is a very rich man, likes parties and owns an extravagant mansion in Hollywood. He also owns a penguin names Suffy. He is superstitious and believes his penguin brings him luck and fortune.
His name is first mentioned in Season 2, Episode 1: David Tarino wanted to introduce him to MC. David refused to do that in Episode 2 after he learned the truth from Christie.
Anthony Wood first appeared in Season 2, Episode 3, during the audition for his new film. In Episode 7, MC gets invited to his party in his mansion. He declares that MC and Alex both have parts in his new film at the end of Episode 8.
MC once described him as an "Adrenaline junkie" and "mad scientist". If he gets crazy ideas for his film, he will act recklessly making impulsive decisions without thinking about the consequences, sometimes even disregarding the safety of his co-workers.
Towards the end of Season 2, Anthony and MC become close friends. He invites her to a film festival and they share a cruise vacation together.
Actors and actresses
Mike

Mike is an actor and lives in the same building as MC, in the apartment just above hers. He is a charming, gentle and caring guy. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 3.
Mike is a friend of Thomas. He breaks up with MC and disappears for most of Season 2. He returns as Ellen's boyfriend in the last Episode of Season 2, however, MC is offered an opportunity to have a fling with him again in Episode 4, Season 3, and can choose him as endgame love interest at the end of the book.
Ray

Ray is an actor. He is a friendly and optimistic person. A very dependable friend and cares for MC. He appears for the first time in Season 1 on the set of Dream City, a film directed by David Tarino.
In Season 2, MC and Ray both star in a film called "Ghost" directed by Danny Ditto. You can then flirt with him and subsequently get romance scenes with him while filming, in Season 2, Episode 5 and 6. Their relationship progresses from there and MC can choose him as endgame love interest at the end of the book.
Alex

When we first meet Alex she is a dog trainer, but during the course of the book she reveals that she is also a stuntwoman.
MC meets her for the first time in Season 1, Episode 4, when MC hijacks her car to get to a photo shoot. Alex drives a Ford.
Alex is also friends with Samantha.
Chris Carter

Chris starts as an actor but later becomes MC's bodyguard and protector in Season 2, Episode 13.
Uno
This character is a possible casual love interest.Uno is a handsome party guest at Anthony Wood's party. He appears in Season 2, Episode 7. He is an option for casual flirting during Episode 7, 8, 9.
In Season 3, Episode 11, Uno will appear as a thief in the movie "Eastern Stars", while MC is Princess Yasmine.
Thomas
Thomas works in Hollywood as an actor. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 1. He is friends with Jessica, Ellen and Mike. Throughout the story, he becomes friends with MC too. They work together in the set of "Ghost" directed by Danny Ditto.
The first time we see him working is on the set of a Pride and Prejudice filming, with him playing Mr. Darcy.
In Season 2, we learn that Thomas is gay and developed a crush on Ray. MC is given an option to set up a date for Thomas and Nicolas Bird in Season 3, Episode 4.
Christie
Christie works in Hollywood as an actress She appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 3.
She hates MC and is very hostile towards her, always trying to create problems for her, ever since MC took her place in a film after she broke her arm. The first film we saw her working on is the horror film 'The House in the Forest'.
Jessica
Jessica is an actress. MC meets her on the set of the movie "Pride and Prejudice" and "Dream City". MC will meet her again in San Francisco in Season 2, Episode 13. She is a friend of Christie and will be more or less nice to MC depending on your choices.
Margaret
Margaret is described as a very good actress by her friend, fashion designer Gino. Margaret appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 2. She says she rarely acts anymore, and she just spends her time enjoying life. She is a smoker. She is friendly towards MC and protective in a motherly way towards Gino. She is also a friend of Karen, an actor-manager and acting coach.
Karen
Karen is an actor manager and acting coach. She is friends with Margaret, an actress, and Gino, a fashion designer. She is not a very friendly person with people she does not know or with the actors, she manages and she tends to be quite aggressive, but she is considered the best acting coach in Hollywood. Gino says that she has one of the best acting workshops in the city.
Karen appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 2.
Nicholas Bird
Nicholas Bird is a famous Hollywood actor. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 1.
MC is a big fan of his, and dreams of meeting him. The book begins with MC dreaming of receiving a Golden Adam (the book's equivalent of an Oscar) from the hands of Nicholas Bird. This character then returns later on, but not everything is quite what it seems at a first glance.
Nicolas loves photography. It is implied he might be bisexual. MC is given an opportunity to set up a date for him and Thomas.

Gino Gabardini

Gino Gabardini is an Italian fashion designer and appears to be quite famous in Hollywood. Gino first appears in Season 1, Episode 2 when he accidentally runs over MC with his Mercedes Benz.
Gino is very friendly, attentive, and caring towards MC and very clearly has a crush on her. He can come across as being quite pushy if you decide you don't want to romance him. He is close friend with Margaret, an actress, who treats him like a son, and is also friendly with Karen, an acting coach, and manager.
Gino disappears in most of the Season 2 and resumes his appearance in Season 3, Episode 6, when you could either keep your distance or rekindle a relationship. MC can choose him as endgame love interest at the end of the book.
Ellen

Ellen works in Hollywood as a model. She appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 2. She is friends with director David Tarino and Thomas, an actor. She is very friendly towards MC and overall seems very sweet and kind.
She breaks up with MC and disappears for most of Season 2. She returns as Mike's girlfriend in the last Episode of Season 2, however, MC is offered an opportunity to rekindle the relationship and can choose her as endgame love interest at the end of the book.
Bean
Bean works in Hollywood as an assistant film director. She is sarcastic and a bit snarky at times, but she is otherwise friendly and helpful - when she wants to be. She appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 1.
The first film we see her working on is a period piece (the title is not specified but from the dialogue, it is clear that it is Pride and Prejudice), which is directed by Mikael Anders. The second film we see her working on is a horror film called 'The House in the Forest', which is also directed by Mikael Anders. She works for a film studio called Tod Pictures. Bean, Eric, Ray and MC work together for the movie called "Ghosts" directed by Danny Ditto in Season 2.
In Season 2, it is mentioned she married Eric.
Eric
Eric works in Hollywood as a cameraman. He is a friend of MC and he likes Bean. The two get married in Season 2. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 6.
The first film we see him working on is 'Dream City' directed by David Tarino. He reappears as a cameraman in "Ghost" directed by Danny Ditto in Season 2.
Samantha
Samantha works as a successful film agent in Hollywood. She appears for the first time in Season 2, Episode 4 where there was a bar fight in a club called Leopold. Samantha, Alex, and MC develop a close friendship in later episodes. They attend the party at Anthony Wood's mansion in Season 2, Episode 7. There is a diamond scene in Season 2, Episode 8 where you can learn the weaknesses of David Tarino from Samantha.
Samantha is a very resourceful person as well and always fixes MC's problem. MC hired her as her manager in Season 2, Episode 12.
Patrick
Patrick works in Hollywood as a photographer. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 4. The first time we see him working is on a set of a photoshoot for the horror film 'The House in the Forest'.
He will reappear in Season 2 and Season 3, every now and then.
Albert
Albert works in Hollywood as a film producer and is the Director of Tod Film Studios. He appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 6.
The first film we see him working on is 'Dream City' directed by David Tarino. A pleasant and kind man, he takes a liking to MC, towards which he act like a fatherly figure. Depending on your choices he can be more or less friendly towards MC.
Archie Milton
Archie is the most successful producer in Hollywood. We encounter him for the first time in Season 3, Episode 4, when he crashes MC's house party to meet her. He says he has been abroad for a few years and that's why they haven't met before.
Archie loves to go to every Hollywood party and loves shooting. He will teach MC to shoot and will produce her biopic 'My Hollywood Story'.
Police force
Captain Jeff

Jeff works at the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a Police Captain. Hhis subordinates include a woman named Gina. Jeff appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 3. He is currently investigating drug dealing in Hollywood and he's determined to solve the case by all means. Knowing MC's is a business acquaintance of David Tarino, he decided to blackmail her to spy on David (Season 2, Episode 1). You can choose to lie to him or help him.
MC once described him as "Mr. Mean-face", "Made of steel" and "His work always comes first, and this is not negotiable". (Season 2, Episode 9).
Jeff is always grumpy and cynical. He can also be egocentric and manipulative when he wants to be, especially related to his job. Regardless of his ulterior motives, he genuinely shows caring and attentive sides. Despite the fact that he said "animals lovers are freak", he helped negotiate with the shelter staff to get MC's dog back. He also expressed sympathy if she left the dog behind.
Although he always behaves rudely, he worries and cares about her safety after the premeditated arson of her apartment (Season 2, Episode 7). He would show no mercy if someone betrayed his trust. MC can choose him as endgame love interest at the end of the book.
Gina
Gina is a policewoman working at the Los Angeles Police Department. She is the assistant of Captain Jeff.
In Season 3, Episode 1, she will appear to accompany MC to a club. You could be given an option to kiss her depends on your path.
Dan
Dan appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 2 as a passer-by on the Walk of Fame where he believes MC's good acting when she pretends to be a homeless person. We then discover that he is a policeman and works under Captain Jeff at the Los Angeles Police Department.
Other characters
Whitney
Whitney works as a gossip journalist and paparazzo photographer. She works for the biggest newspaper in the city. Whitney appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 4.
Steve
Steve is MC's ex boyfriend. They broke up several months before this story starts.
Bob
Bob works as security at the door of the Leopold nightclub. In various occasion MC has to go past him to get into the club, and one time, when she was without tangible proof that she was invited MC - only if you are on the path of romance - will kiss him to confuse him and gain access to the club.
We learn that he is called Bob in Season 2, Episode 4, from another patron inside the Leopold club.
Fun fact: there are two background characters in this book that are called Bob: an employee of the police kennel that takes away Lucky from MC in Season 2, Ep 1 is also called Bob, however he appears too briefly to be featured on this page.
