Romance Club Wiki

Mia is the main character you play as in the book Moonborn. Her surname is not revealed. You cannot change her name, but you can choose her look. At the start of the story you can personalize her appearance by choosing between four different facial features: Fair, Olive, Very Fair, or Dark Brown. You can also choose between 12 different hairstyles. More hairstyles and outfits, as well as make up and accessories, are available throughout the story. Some outfits and accessories will be only available depending on your choices.

Most choices you make for this character influence one of the following variables: you can increase Mia's Fortitude 💪 or Diplomacy 🕊️and increase her Gift of Blood 🔻 (physical strength and speed) or her Gift of the Moon 🌙 (hearing, hypnosis, and intuition). These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

About Mia

Mia is in college, studying journalism at the University of Nellie Bly. She initially lives in a college dormitory with her best friend Trisha, but as the story progresses she can either move in with her love interest of choice, or she can share a different apartment with Trisha.

After meeting a photographer named Simon, Mia begins working for a magazine called The Supernatural Daily. Whether she gets accepted to work there permanently or changes job depends on your choices throughout the book. Scroll down to see details on how to ensure she gets offered a full time position.

Depending on which path you pick, you will see different scenes or will be able to do/say different things. All paths are interesting and worth a play, but generally speaking, Fortitude Mia is more assertive while Diplomacy Mia is more cunning, and Gift of Blood Mia is more physically aggressive while Gift of the Moon Mia relies on her hypnosis skills. Choosing your path depends on what kind of MC you prefer when you are playing.

Note: in Season 5, Episode 4, if you are on the Gift of the Moon path, Mia can hypnotise someone into not doing something to Max, while she can't if you are on the Gift of Blood path (although you can pay diamonds for it either way). The plot, however, changes only slightly and Max is completely fine either way, however if you decide to romance Max and are short on diamonds you might want to keep this in mind.

All your choices in this story significantly change the plot, the interactions Mia has with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play. Your romantic choices also have a significant impact on the story. Some characters can be romanced only exclusively, while other characters can be romanced at the same time as other love interests.

Mia's reputation amongst vampires and werewolves has an impact on the plot. Scroll down for a detailed guide on how to achieve high reputation with either vampires or werewolves.

Love Interests

  • Victor Van Art: Possible endgame love interest and/or friend.
  • Max Fall: Possible endgame love interest and/or friend.
  • Benny Bart: Possible endgame love interest and/or friend.
  • Simon Cook: Possible endgame love interest and/or work colleague.
  • Frances: Possible endgame love interest and/or friend.
  • Trisha: Roommate, best friend and possible casual romance.
  • Dante Guerra: Friend and possible casual romance.

Please note that in this book Mia can't romance Max and Victor at the same time. In Season 2, Episode 8 you will be asked to choose between the two and no other romantic scenes with any other character will be available to you. If you choose not to date either of them, you will be able to see romance options for Simon, Frances and Benny Bart. These three characters can be romanced at the same time, for part of the book, although the romance points you accumulate with each of them will determine the scenes that will become available: the love interest with the most points will be the one you will see the most scenes with. You will have to make a choice on who you want Mia to be official with.

How to get high journalism score

In Season 5, Episode 8 Mr Bow might tell Mia that she has been promoted, and offer her a full-time position as a member of staff at the Supernatural Daily. If she has not done enough to prove herself in his eyes, he will only give her a letter of recommendation for her college and say that he will offer her an internship, but that she's not responsible enough to be a full time journalist. Please note: this job offer, albeit making for a very nice scene, has little to no effect on the book, since it arrives only a couple of episodes from the end, so if you are short of diamonds feel free to skip it.

All the actions needed to be offered a promotion are marked on the walkthrough with a newspaper icon ( 📰 ) but here is a full summary: Mia needs to have done not all, but the majority of these actions:

  • Read Walter's notes in Season 2, Episode 3, an action which leads to him going back to work at the Supernatural Daily in Season 5. (30💎)
  • Investigate the corrupt journalist in order to win the Golden Debut Award in Season 2, Episode 11. (20💎)
  • Re-read the article for Peter Jench in Season 4, Episode 2. (17💎)
  • Choose premium options to successfully organise the Green Pages charity event in Season 5, Episode 1. (18💎) + (18💎)
  • Have a good relationship with Trevor so he covers for Mia while she is in Prague, in Season 5, Episode 7. To have a good relationship with Trevor you need to help him find his tablet in Season 1, Episode 4 (9💎) and help him during a fight in Season 2, Episode 9 (22💎).
  • Focusing on work in Season 5, Episode 8. (Free)

if you don't have enough points for Mia to be offered a promotion at the Supernatural Daily, a banner will appear saying that Mia will go to work to Epoch magazine for Harry Plant, an editor she met at the Green Pages event in Season 5, Episode 1. If Mia did not get the promotion and, additionally, Trevor also died, a banner will say that she couldn't work at the Supernatural Daily anymore because without Trevor it would have not been the same.

Mia's pet

Mia can adopt a pet in this book: either an owl, a cat or a dog. While very cute, this pet has limited scenes in the story. It is initially free to adopt the pet from the shelter in Season 1, Episode 6, however to keep it forever you need to pay 💎30 in Season 1, Episode 8. If you adopt it, you can personalise the pet's name. As mentioned, the pet in this book has a very limited role, appears in a very limited number of scenes and does not affect the plot at all, however some of its rare scenes are quite funny.

Trivia

  • Mia's regeneration is weaker than the Prince's but stronger than new vampires.
  • Mia is partially immortal. Old age will not kill her but she can die like other vampires.
  • We won't be shown Mia's future after Season 5, Episode 11. The writer said: "In order to adequately describe it, you will have to introduce a lot of new content, which in fact will not be of much interest."
