Luna is the main character you play as in the book Garden of Eden.

About Luna[]

Luna is a K-pop idol and member of the girl group SIRENS, managed by PJK Entertainment.

When the group first debuted, Luna was given the role of the visual - the face of SIRENS. Her twin sister Seo-yoon was the leader and took her responsibilities seriously, making sure the girls stuck to their contracts and schedules. While Seo-yoon was said to be bright, passionate and unpredictable, Luna is described as mysterious, calm, and rather reserved. She never let others get to her and was used to bottling everything up.

SIRENS had a difficult time at the beginning and the members thought they wouldn’t last that long. One day, the group’s popularity suddenly skyrocketed, unexpected and dramatically. At the same time, Seo-yoon started to change and became more quiet, irritated and moody.

After Seo-yoon died by suicide, Luna disappeared for a while to deal with her grief. She shut herself off, became depressed and was forcibly admitted to the hospital where she was diagnosed with psychogenic vomiting. A lot of people said that Seo-yoon’s death was Luna’s fault and she should have paid more attention to what her sister was going through.

Six months after the tragic event, Luna stops going to therapy and reunites with her group members Aria and Yeon-ah. She is determined to get back into the business and the girls start planning their comeback. Since the group needs a new leader, those responsibilities have now fallen onto Luna. While working toward a new album, she launches a secret investigation into the circumstances of her sister's death.

After another idol, Mi-yeon, also dies by suicide, Luna completely closes off and tries to lose herself in work. The agency allows its idols less and less freedom, even hiring a mentor named Dong-hyun to work with the girls and prevent further incidents. Despite everything, Luna doesn't stop her investigations and finds a mysterious club called "Garden of Eden", located in the basement of the restaurant "Eclipse", which seems to be connected to the deaths. She concludes that elites frequenting the club target idols and then push them to take their own lives to avoid possible accusations. Thanks to Dong-hyun, she manages to get invited to "Eclipse" and meets a potential sponsor looking to invest in her group. When she successfully charms him, he proposes a partnership under one condition: Luna has to perform a solo concert at the club, taking on the role her sister used to play, and accompany the man for the rest of the evening.

Trivia[]

Luna is a stage name. Her real name is Hong Ji-yoon, with Hong being her family name. In Korea, the surname is written before the personal name. This helps in denoting that family comes before the individual in the Korean culture.
Luna's parents live in a provincial town not far from Seoul. Luna has always felt closer to her father, while Seo-yoon spent more time with their mother.
Luna has a birthmark just beneath her hip and a scar on her ankle.
Her hands are always cold.
She likes coffee and loves the rainy season.
Luna calls herself a musical omnivore because she enjoys many different genres. She and her father used to listen to classical music together.
She used to love writing poetry as a child.
Luna says that if she and her sister would’ve left the group, they would have opened a bakery or a tteokbokki restaurant.
She always wanted to see whales in the wild.
Her favorite color changes every day.
As a child, she dreamed of becoming a pathologist.
