Lucifer is a love interest in the book Heaven's Secret and its sequel Heaven's Secret 2.
About Lucifer
Lucifer is a natural-born immortal, a demon. He is the son of Satan (the ruler of Hell), who is ruthless and cruel to everyone including his son. Like his father, Lucifer has a second form which was shown in Season 3, Episode 10 of Heaven's Secret. He is one of the best students at the Angels and Demons Academy and spends a lot of time reading books in Hell's library in the first book. Lucifer only takes a few classes with Vicky Walker, the Main Character (MC), since he is an advanced student.
In Season 3, Episode 3 of Heaven's Secret if Lucifer is your main love interest you can train with him and learn about his childhood days: "When I was little, my father loved to train with me. He’d never let me win. He’d never give in. But every time I managed to surpass myself, he’d pat me on the head with some rough strokes. That’s all the affection he’s ever given me. The pats on the head, so strong that I was expecting him to hit me any minute." He says that the lesson he learned from his father is to be strong and unyielding.
Lucifer is very sarcastic and although he often shows that doesn't like to follow rules, he is very responsible. Strong and confident, Lucifer is accustomed to being aloof and distant. He doesn't like weak people, which he considers the Unclaimed are. He is one of the most popular students at the Academy and the MC is one of the few people who have the courage to face him. Lucifer has traumas and inner barriers; and, although he tries, he cannot remain indifferent to the MC.
In Season 1, Episode 6 of Heaven's Secret 2 you have the opportunity to enter Lucifer's mind during a game. You can see a flashback to his childhood where you discover that it was impossible for Lucifer to please his father who was cruel, arrogant, and intolerant towards him - the only good he kept was his love for Lilith, Lucifer’s mother.
Lilith was a good-natured devil, but after Lucifer was born, she had postpartum depression, causing her to try to commit suicide and kill servants in outbursts of anger. Satan then hid Lilith away from everyone, including Lucifer, who only learned of his mother's whereabouts after his father was killed. He visited his mother for some time but stopped because it was too painful, as she had become a shadow of herself.
When Plague arrives, she quickly finds out about Lilith and realizes that she would be a good leverage against Lucifer and Satan. The Horsewoman then decides to keep Lilith near her, forcing them to do whatever she orders. But in Season 2, Episode 9 Lucifer's father ends up sacrificing himself so that his son could escape the clutches of the Horsemen and free Lilith.
During Season 3 you find out that Lucifer’s mother is a seer. Lilith always feels it when someone is sick or dying. This gift is what drove her mad - she saw all the ways Lucifer could die, get hurt, or upset. And it came with a flaw, as Lilith can’t control it. For her, it’s too chaotic, like a disease.
In Season 3, Episode 2 you discover that Lucifer grew up in a house with hallways adorned with portraits of all the former rulers of Hell. Satan is the title of the ruler of Hell and the name of the first Satan. Lucifer’s father was named Satan VIII.
Andras, one of the former rulers, was Lucifer grandfather. Before him, power was gained through bloodshed, but Andras banned transferring the title by right of the strongest. He founded a staff of advisors, who were involved in all matters concerning life in Hell from then on. Tired of being in power, he passes the title to his heir: Satan VIII, Lucifer’s father.
In a diamond scene of Season 3, Episode 3 Lucifer tells you that in his childhood his mother fussed over him, and his father despised him. His father wanted a son so much and hoped that he had be like him, but Lucifer reminding him of his wife Lilith. Satan VIII loved his wife, but he expected strength and cruel composure from an heir to the throne. Despite that, in the moments when his father wasn’t around, Lucifer’s childhood was bearable. He spent time in different places of entertainment, playing cards with succubi.
Relationships
- Vicky Walker (MC): She is an Unclaimed, a classmate, and a possible love interest. She thinks Lucifer is narcissistic, arrogant, and tactless. And he believes that she is weak and pretends to be indifferent to her. However, she is the only person Lucifer allows to face him. Even if the player does not invest in a romantic relationship with him, you can see Lucifer trying to protect the MC.
- Satan VIII: The infamous ruler of Hell and his father. He tortures his son when he makes mistakes, but Lucifer believes that his severe discipline is a way of showing that he loves him. Satan has the same temper and rage that consumes Lucifer, but he is wise enough not to let show an outburst of anger when necessary.
- Dino: He is an angel, and a classmate and a rival. Lucifer loves to taunt him. He thinks Dino is a show-off but admits his opponent's strength to MC. If you're on the Path of the Angel 😇 in S1, Ep9 of Heaven's Secret, Lucifer says about Dino: "He has a rational mind. A sharp mind and strength are a dangerous combination."
- Mimi: She is a demon, and a classmate and his childhood friend. Their close friendship faded over time. Lucifer sometimes calls her "Baby Mimi".
- Austie: She is a demon, a classmate, and his friends with benefits - but this changes if he becomes your love interest.
- Rebecca: She is MC's mother and the first Unclaimed to become a Seraph. Rebecca and Lucifer don't get along. If you're on the Path of the Angel 😇 in S1, Ep9 of Heaven's Secret Lucifer says about Rebecca: "I'm sure your mother was rather sly than strong."
- Plague: She is the Horsewoman of the Apocalypse and only appears in Heaven's Secret 2. Lucifer hides his tension behind a mask of indifference towards her.
- Andras: He is Lucifer's grandfather. Andras was killed after retiring as Satan.
