About Lia

Lia is a K-pop idol and solo artist.

She has striking appearance and refined manners. Despite being very popular, Lia is not afraid to speak her mind and people often listen to her opinions. She spoke up to defend Luna, a fellow idol, against nasty rumor's about her twin sister's death.

Lia and Luna first meet in person at a party. Later, Luna invites Lia to a get-together with other idols, where Lia warns her about Castiel, member of the boy group RK3. She explains that she saw Luna's sister and Castiel in front of a shady night club called Garden of Eden, and urges Luna to be careful in his company.

After they get closer, Lia confesses to Luna that she's had a lot of plastic surgeries to live up to everyone's ideal. She always carries an old picture of herself with her so she won't forget her "real" face. Later, it is revealed that when Lia was a trainee, she got an offer to meet with a potential sponsor at the Garden of Eden club who could help her move up the career ladder. At the club, she was drugged and lost control, resulting in compromising photos with an influencial woman and unwanted touches by men. Realizing that the price was to high, Lia took a card with her parents' savings and fled the city. Thanks to Madame Shin, a wealthy woman who had found her calling after meeting Lia and her beautiful voice, she was able to get surgery to change her appearance and start over. With Shin as her manager, Lia worked hard to build a new career and even got used to only sleep for three hours. She also hints at having multiple health issues, the most obvious being tremors in her hands. Feeling like a doll inside and out, Lia has become pretty closed off and avoids her reflection in the mirror.

Lia's relationship with her family has not easy. Her parents are ashamed of her decision to change her appearance and see Lia as just another idol. Until this day, they still say that their daughter is Soo-min and when people ask them about her, they lie and claim she’s studying in America. Every time Lia goes to visit her family, she faces indifference or cold remarks, being punished for living life on her own terms. Even Lia's brother Kai, who also works as an idol, says that he sometimes sees her as a stranger now.

Despite her trust issues, Lia slowly warms up to Luna and is ready to fight her fears. After she and Luna become a couple at the end of the first season, they try to keep their relationship a secret while spending as much time together as they can. When some photos of Luna and Lia from a secret party reach the agency, Luna's manager blackmails Madame Shin and Lia into a duet with SIRENS. More tensions arise when Luna finds out that Lia has been mentoring Lessy, another idol, for a competition show SIRENS also participate in. This also leads to a joint music video with Lia getting postponed, but thanks to their close relationship, Luna and Lia are able to talk about it and reassure each other of their love. Because Lessy has close ties to important people in the industry, Lia is in danger to be found out by someone from her past and decides to join Luna in her investigation with the goal to expose the club and the criminals behind it.

But her pure and unwavering love for her brother remains the connecting thread with the memories that still warm her heart.
