About Kamal Rai[]

Kamal Rai is the head of the Rai family, one of the more powerful families in the Dozen. The Rai's are a Kshatriya family, made of skillful rulers and advisors and Kamal is known for his abilities as a warrior. His parents were killed in an uprising against the British, so he raised his younger sister Amrita.

After the death of Deviya's brother, Kamal became her guardian and staunchest supporter and helped advocate for her position as head of the Sharma family. He oversaw her education in a number of subjects and helped her learn how to manage the Sharma family business.
