Kali: Flame of Samsara is the 35th book released on the mobile game Romance Club. This book was released in August, 2023. This book is a prequel. The author of Season 1 of this book is Aleksandra R., who also wrote Kali: Call of Darkness and is now writing Song of the Crimson Nile. The rest of the book is written by Stacy K., who is currently co-writing Love, Sin & Evil.

Plot Summary

Navigating the intrigues of Indian high society has never been easy, but when you are forced into an engagement with your enemy—a British Lord—your life is completely upended.

  • This story takes place in 1895, when India was a British colony.
  • The symbol of the Basu family is a lioness. Purple, the color of wealth and power, is also associated with this family.*
  • There is a saying: "Kill a Doobay, and we lose our minds. Kill a Basu, and we lose our hearts. When both are gone, we lose our heads."
  • The symbol of the Sharma family is a falcon. Blue is the main color of this family, representing wisdom and nobility.
  • The symbol of the Rai family is the leopard. They are a Kshatriya family, made of skillful rulers and advisors, and their color is gold.
  • The Influential Dozen is a group of twelve noble families whose joint rule ensures the prosperity of Bengal.
  • Hierarchy and caste are considered very important in Indian society at the time of this story.
  • The avatar of order, Rita-Shiva, was created to watch over and help mortals. All dark forces obey him.
  • The symbol of the Thakur family is the white Bengal tiger. This family is highly respected and belongs to the Brahmin caste. Their color is white.
  • All families in the Dozen have a patriarchal structure, except for the Basus.
  • Each family in the Dozen has a field of expertise, an animal symbol, and a color. They only marry within the nobility.
