About Kai

Kai is one of the pirate captains of Tortuga in Sails in the Fog. His ship is called, "The Grin".

Kai is always prepared to battle and thinks the way to solve his affairs is through dueling which he shows Adelaide during the Council of Captains. Due to his reckless nature and barbaric methods, he lost several crewmates.

He began his career as the captain of a whaleship. Life was hard and ungrateful until one day Kai heard a priest giving a sermon in the port. Padre talked about the blessed time they were lucky to live in, and how good it was that their people turned their backs on the barbaric traditions of the past. Kai perked up and talked with the priest about the “terrible times”, trying to find out exactly what the barbarism consisted of. After the conversation, he concluded that the only way to break out of the tedious and boring humdrum was to return to his roots.

Kai the Whaler is a hothead who only respects power.

Kai has suntanned skin, blue eyes, and short disheveled blond hair. His prototype is Rutger Hauer. He wears a dark jacket without a shirt carrying a harpoon as a weapon of choice. He has tattoos and jewelry covering his body.
