Joel is a love interest in the book The One Volume 2.
About Joel[]
Kiana has a chance to meet Joel if she chooses to sign for a delivery as a favor to her coworker. If you do, Joel will take shelter from the rain at the loading dock where she is waiting. Later, after arriving at The One Villa, Joel will recognize Kiana and joke that they are rivals now.
Joel is a bit more reserved than some of the other candidates, but comes off as laidback and a bit of a flirt. He quickly takes an interest in Kiana and can be more or less flirty with her, depending on your choices. He's eliminated early, in episode 4, and you can choose to either have a one night stand with him or start a relationship with him, depending on how close your relationship is. If you start a relationship with him, he will give Kiana a phone to keep in touch.
In Hawaii, he will surprise Kiana on his romance path by showing up one night. And, if you continue the relationship, he will also show up at the finale and ask Kiana to be choose him.

Possible Endings[]
- If you are romancing Joel, he will show up and ask the MC to be with him during the finale. If she accepts you will unlock Joel's ending.
- A cloudy afternoon, Washington, DC: You're meeting Joel's family for the first time. After the show you've been maintaining a long distance relationship while handling the media scrutiny and it has been rough. It starts raining and you stop to kiss in the rain before rushing inside his parent's house.
- If you are not romancing Joel, he is eliminated in Episode 4 and never heard from again.
