Jeff is a possible love interest in the book My Hollywood Story
About Jeff[]
Jeff works in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a Police Captain, his subordinates include a woman named Gina and a man called Dan. Jeff appears for the first time in Season 1, Episode 3. He is currently investigating drug dealing (also calls magic substance) in Hollywood and determined to solve the case by all means. Knowing Emma (default name of the main character/you) is a rising actress and a business acquaintance of David Tarino, he decided to blackmail her to spy on David whether she likes it or not (Season 2, Episode 1).
As a child, Jeff had a beloved dog that once got lost. Parents went to the police, but they couldn't help. Weeks passed by, but the dog never came back. Then little Jeff took control in his hands. He put up some flyers, asked the neighbours, made research. Unfortunately, the four-legged friend was never found, but the boy was so carried away by the investigation that he decided to become a police officer. [1]
Despite the fact that he said "animal lovers are freak", he helped to negotiate with the holding-pen staff for getting Emma's dog back. He also expressed sympathy if she left the dog behind. In his leisure time, he likes to take care of fox cubs in the wildlife center. (Season 3, Episode 5)
- Personality
Jeff is always grumpy, ruthless and cynical. He can also be egocentric and manipulative when he wants to be especially related to his job. He has been gaslighting and blackmailed Emma few years into helping the illegal drug case in Hollywood. Regardless of his ulterior motive, sometimes he genuinely shows his caring and attentive sides towards Emma.
Although he always behaves rudely, almost boorishly toward Emma, he worries and cares about her safety after the premeditated arson of her apartment (Season 2, Episode 7) and in the last chapter (Season 3, Episode 13).
He would show no mercy if someone betrayed his trust.
Relationships[]
- Emma: Love-hate relationship. She once described Jeff as "Mr. Mean-face", "Made of steel" and "His work always comes first, and this is not negotiable". Towards the end of Season 3, she has a choice to determine his fate. During their "collaboration', he slowly falls in love with her.
- Gina: his subordinate

- The author once mentioned she used Gerard Bulter as the prototype of Jeff.

- If MC pushed Jeff out of the way, the MC will be injured.
- If MC did not push Jeff out of the way, Jeff will be injured.
- Either way, Jeff surprises the MC during her talk show appearance with an award and proposes to her.
