Jamie Zhao is a love interest in the book Theodora.
About Jamie[]
Jamie is a lawyer with her own practice in Paris. Born and raised in France, she hasn't been to China but plans to go there some day to get to know her homeland better. She and Theodora first met at a bookstore and are good friends, although Theodora often cancels plans with Jamie and tries to keeps her distance, setting small traps to make sure it wouldn’t hurt Jamie too much if she had to disappear once again.
In the beginning of Season 3, Jamie is in an on-and-off relationship with a woman called Zoe. Deep down she knows that Zoe and her are not meant to be, but Jamie still hooks up with her when she feels lonely. After having a deep conversation with Theodora about love and relationships, Jamie finally breaks up with Zoe for good. Because Zoe doesn't accept this decision, Theodora tells her to leave Jamie alone and encourages her friend to stand by her boundaries.
During a sleepover, Theodora gets the chance to act on her own feelings for Jamie and they spontaneously kiss after watching a romantic movie. Surprised, the women talk about being attracted to each other and end up sleeping together, following their honest desires despite knowing that the timing isn't the best. After that night, Theodora and Jamie decide to put things on pause to sort everything out. During this break, Theodora realizes that Jamie helped her a lot at a very hard time in her life by being someone with whom she could relax and have a good time. When they finally meet again, Jamie asks Theodora if she wants to be together, and they officially start their relationship. Still unsure if she should let Jamie in on her secret or not, Theodora hints at the truth by mentioning a book about demons and deals written by a Guardian, and Jamie promises to read it.
In order to finally capture Theodora, the Lord uses Jamie as bait and takes them both to his castle. Theodora confesses her immortality to a confused Jamie who then decides not to judge her. Thanks to the hint Theodora gave her, Jamie is able to avoid making a deal with the Lord.

- She also loves rice crackers which her parents used to their advantage whenever she threw a tantrum as a kid. One day when Jamie was alone at home, she ate way too many packs and had to get her stomach pumped at the hospital.

Possible endings[]
- If they defeat the Lord, Theodora and John rescue Jamie and bring her home.
- If Jamie and Theodora are together, they stay in Paris and Jamie decides to continue their relationship after learning everything about Theodora's past. However, if Theodora did not give Jamie a hint about existence of demons, they take a break for Jamie to process everything, but eventually she forgives Theodora and gives their relationship a chance. After six months, Jamie takes Theodora on camping trip as a suprise. There, Jamie asks Theodora if they can move in together and they confess their love for each other. If Theodora became mortal and chooses to remember Jamie's face on her death bed, it is revealed that they had a son.
- If Jamie and Theodora are not together, they still keep in touch, texting, and meeting if time allows. Her business is growing, but Jamie is not ready for a relationship yet and says that she's quite comfortable alone.
- If Theodora doesn't defeat the Lord but saves her soul, she wakes up in a French hospital, realizing that she suffers from amnesia and doesn’t even remember her own name. She publishes a newspaper ad looking for people who might know her and could tell her who she is. Jamie responds to the ad and they meet in the park. The woman explains to Theodora that she suffers from partial amnesia too but only lost the last few months and not her whole life. Both feel very familiar to each other and agree to have coffee.
- If Theo doesn't defeat the Lord and doesn't manage to save her soul, she dies in terrible agony and her soul is doomed to eternal suffering. While being tortured by invisible forces, Theodora sees an injured Jamie and briefly remembers their time together. Jamie tells her that she failed and will never get out.
