James is a love interest in the book 7 Brothers.
About James[]
James is a student at Kearney University and the current club president of the Rosewood Club, a male-only fraternity. He comes from a nobly and very wealthy British family that owns Crest Industries.
He first meets freshman Jaynie Monroe as she becomes the first female member of Rosewood Club and starts living in the same house as James. After he learns about her scholarship, he says that having her at Rosewood Club is an embarrassment and he’s determined to get her kicked out. James cares a lot about status and being part of the upper class, and he constantly degrades Jaynie by bringing up her background. When he meets Jaynie's little brother Carter, both boys take drugs together and James offers Carter to stay at the Crest's private manison which is located on an island.
While Jaynie investigates the involvement the elite with drug distribution and shady business deals, she finds out that James's parents used the Atwoods to flood a poor neighborhood with opiates so they could bring property prices down and sell a chunk of land to the Knox family for their corporate headquarters. Jaynie suspects that James knows more about his father's schemes than he's letting on, and seduces him in order to get closer and find out more. They start a sexual relationship with no strings attached until Anne, James' fiancée from London, visits him at Kearney.
