About Grant[]

Grant Atwood is a student at Kearney University and member of the Rosewood Club, a male-only fraternity.

He grew up in the UK where he went to boarding school, together with his friend Tristan. His father Harry was one of the first black students to graduate from Kearney's business school, and Grant was always expected to go to Kearney as well. Today, his father owns PharmaTek, a business he build up from nothing, and works hard to maintain his status, which includes controlling his son's calendar and planning his future at the company. Grant says that he didn't have a choice about Rosewood Club because most frats aren't interested in Black members or only take one, to prove that they aren't racist.

Jaynie first meets Grant and Tristan at a BDSM party while accompaning her friend Ray. Grant comes across as a true gentleman, honest and a bit shy. He says that he's rather "vanilla" and not interested in BDSM, but he’d try it if his partner was interested. Later, after pressured by the FBI to work for them as a spy at Kearney University, Jaynie becomes the first female member of Rosewood Club and starts living in the same house as Grant.

After Grant and Jaynie get closer, he admits that sex is special to him and says that knowing and trusting each other has to come first. Grant is shown to be a romantic gentleman, inviting Jaynie to dinner and gifting her a key necklace she can use to enter his friend's bookshop whenever she wants to. When Jaynie finds out that Grant's father might be involved drug dealings, she doesn't know how to tell him. As it turns out, the Atwood family has been facilitating the abuse of drugs, which is hard for Grant to believe.
