Gisella is a love interest in the book Heart of Trespia.

About Gisella

Gisella is the leader of a group of bandits roaming the Redbark Forest. She meets Ellaire and Wyatt le Roux when the two fall into a trap she had set up in the forest.

While she is used to robbing the nobles, she uses the silvers she obtains to help feed the people of the nearby villages, who are starving due to high taxes set by Earl Reinhold and the frequent incursion from the Xaelian soldiers into Redbark Forest.

Gisella and her group of bandits meet Ellaire and Wyatt when they get caught in a trap she set up. Not knowing who the duo were, she attempted to rob them of their valuables. The robbery is interrupted by sprite eagles that Wyatt and Ellaire help defend the bandits against. As a token of her gratitude, Gisella reaches a truce with them and, after discovering Ellaire's healing capabilities, requests that Ellaire go with her to treat some of the villagers at Ivydale. After this Gisella becomes closer to Ellaire, helping her solve some mysteries along the way.

In Season 2, Gisella becomes part of the mission to help Ellaire convince eight monarchs to vote out the corrupt Trespian Council members. There are many dangerous moments and tight spots that the group get into where her skills are proven useful.

In Season 3, Gisella is at the palace with Ellaire celebrating her coronation with the group. Ellaire offers her to temporarily fill the roll of Treasurer until Gisella either qualifies to fill the roll permanently or it is filled by someone else. Depending on your relationship with her, she will either accept or reject the offer. It is clear that she still feels very passionately about taking care of the villagers in Ivydale.

Trivia

• Gisella and Taki met when they were little at an orphanage. They were both abandoned as babies (but Taki is older), but at some point, the institution was too poor to keep running and they had to leave as older children. They started wandering about trying to find food and shelter together. Eventually they had to resort to stealing just to survive. That was how they grew up together. During this time, they were also joined by some other child beggars who also became bandits with them.

Possible Endings

• Romance path: Gisella and Ellaire are happily married and living in the palace. Gisella continues to challenge the rules that come with her title. The council expresses concern with having an heir but Ellaire is not in a rush.
• Friendship path: Gisella meets with Ellaire occasionally but is mostly with Taki, Reyna, and their daughter Rabbit (if you had Taki and Reyna get together). Gisella refuses to be tied down to one place and resumes her lifestyle of staying among the villages in camps.
• If you did not have a strong bond: Gisella dies during the battle
