Ezra Anderson is a love interest in the book Chasing You 2.
About Ezra[]
Ezra is the son of the assistant commissioner, Sir Robert Anderson. He meets Agatha and her friends at one of his father's dinner parties and takes an interest in her.
His mother, a bright and fragile woman, died when Ezra was still a child. After her death, Ezra became restless and disobedient, while lead to his father beating him a lot. One day, Sir Robert found his son sleeping in a spare coffin his mother chose for herself, hiding away from his angry father. Enraged, Sir Robert burned the coffin which upset Ezra greatly. From then on, Ezra started being more obedient.
Ten years ago, Ezra's friend Albert, the former Duke of Clarance, died of supposed lung weakness. Shortly before that, Ezra and Albert met up in a brothel frequented by queer men, talking about a mysterious agreement. Albert's younger brother Alexander, jealous of how close the men were, surprised them there and got very angry about his brother's secrecy. After Albert's death, Alexander claims that Albert must have been poisoned and even finds a poison vial with Ezra's initials, but Ezra denies his involvement. The relationship between both men has been icy ever since.
Agatha and Ezra meet again and slowly get closer despite him seeming to be involved in a lot of shady business. He invites her to a gentlemen's club and teases her until they get intimate in front of other visitors. While investigating the planned murder of Ezra's father, Agatha finds out that Sir Robert sent kidnapped geishas to rich men, providing an "exotic companion" who's under the influence of hypnosis and secretly spying on them to get information for him. When she confronts Ezra about it, he tells her that he knows about his father's dealings and is even helping him, calling himself a "villain". As it turns out, it was Alexander's brother Albert who came up with the idea of an agent network no one could rival, which was expended by artistocrats after Albert's death. So far, the geishas have helped solve a lot of assassination attempts on the Queen and other important people, some of them even lost their lives in the process.
When Agatha gets invited to the Queen's Halloween celebrations in Scotland, she and Ezra meet again. He tells her that he was trying to stay away from her but their paths seem to cross again and again, and that he can't stop thinking about her. After they sleep together, Ezra confesses that he helped two kidnapped women escape and has now lost the trust of his allies. Only his father’s will has kept him in the scheme and given the chance, he’d happily level it all to the ground.

Once, one of his father's guests took a weapon from the collection as a souvenir. Three days later, the man disappeared, and the dagger returned to its place.[1]
