About Emily

Emily is Vera Fritz's best friend and a TAG player. She is originally from the Philippines, and moved to Australia with her mother, brother, and stepfather. To please her stepfather, she learned a number of skills including how to play the piano, speak Chinese, and how to interact in high society. Despite caring deeply for her family, they look down on her because of her social anxiety, considering it an embarrassment to them. Despite this, she is very kind and clever with a talent for computers and technology.

Emily works from home, kept company by her cat Boris. She plays TAG as something to do with Vera, but isn't as passionate about it as Vera or Daniel. In Season 1, she is put on Daniel's team and while initially wary around him, they become friends. In Season 2, she helps Vera behind the scenes and reconnects with her brother Ulan. In Season 3, she moves in with Vera, Ricky, and Boris. She starts to work to overcome her social anxiety and reconnect with friends from college.
