Elliot is a detective. He first meets Vyxaria when he interviews her about the attempted kidnapping of Ava. While initially suspicious of Vyxaria, he also considers her to be someone who can help him. He calls her and requests that she meet with Ava in order to gather information about her for him. At the dinner, they discuss terms and Vyxaria agrees to be paid in order to investigate Ava. It appears that there's more to why Elliot is asking for her help.
Elliot confesses to Vyxaria that the reason he's investigating Ava is to get closer to Kang who killed Elliot's father when he was a child. His goal has been to take down Kang and Red Gold ever since and it's the reason he became a detective. Elliot's first wife left him because he couldn't move on and build a future with her, fearful that Kang would seek revenge by hurting his family.
