Doran Basu is a love interest in the book Kali: Flame of Samsara.

About Doran Basu[]

Doran Basu is the younger brother of Vidya Basu. Since the Basu family is matriarchal, Doran is not expected to lead the family or handle its affairs. According to reports, he is credited with the murders of several high-ranking officials, although none of them were proven.

In an effort to keep him away from punishment by the British, Doran has been overseeing the Basu family's country estate in Kliphagrami for the past 17 years. He lives there with his wife although they appear to have a marriage of convenience, and live separate lives.

In his youth, he was close friends with Kairas Sharma, and was even gifted a dagger by him.
