About Doo-yeong[]

Doo-yeong is an actor. He and Luna, an idol and member of the k-pop group SIRENS, meet at an art exhibition when the girl accidentally bumps into him. They start talking about an intriguing painting and later spend a calm moment at the gallery's balcony together.

Doo-yeong is an only child. His family spoiled him and his entire life was already planned out, but he rebelled and decided to live the way he dreamed about. At the beginning of his career, he scored the role of an antagonist and created a completely different persona for it. Right when Doo-yeong was filming the drama, he then learned that his parents were getting divorced which had a strong impact on him. As a result, he got even deeper into his antagonist role and lost his head a little. His parents still maintain a warm relationship for the sake of their son. Doo-yeong's career as an actor hasn't been easy but he prefers living by his own rules.

Doo-yeong comes across as perceptive and calm. He takes his job very seriously and is quite demanding when it comes to coworkers and work conditions, resulting in his reputation as a real perfectionist. When he and Luna start working together, he urges her to start taking better care of herself.

Luna and Doo-yeong reconnect at a commercial shooting for a perfume brand. Thanks to Luna's manager, Doo-yeong considers Luna for a role in a romantic drama after her group has made its comeback. When more scandals surround Luna and her agency, the show's creators want to take the lead role away from her and fire her. Doo-yeong puts his reputation on the line to advocate for the girl, making sure she gets a different role. After he and Luna become a couple at the end of the first season, they try to keep their relationship a secret while spending as much time together during the filming process as they can. Trying to use the connection to Doo-yeong further, Luna's manager Madame Park later suggests that he should appear in SIRENS's new music video.

While investigating the deaths of her sister and a fellow idol, Luna finds a mysterious club called "Garden of Eden", located in the basement of the restaurant "Eclipse", which seems to be connected to the deaths. Doo-yeong mentions that his father is a frequent visitor at "Eclipse" but fails to secure an invite for Luna. He tries to find out more from his father but gets shut down, and comes to Luna with questions about the restaurant and her motives. Afraid for his safety, Luna decides to not involve him in her investigation into the mysterious deaths of idols, including her twin sister, and asks him for his understanding. Still, Doo-yeong worries about her and wants to understand what the restaurant is all about, so he finally accepts his father's invite to dine there. After that, Luna opens up about her investigation and Doo-yeong is shocked to learn about his father's apparent involvement.
