About Diego

Diego is a dance instructor. Three times per week, he teaches tango, salsa, and rumba at the local dance school. He also teaches children, but not only how to dance but also how to let everything go and have fun. He is from a rich family and his parents did everything for him to have a good life. But they were disappointed when Diego abandoned a law career and took up dancing. For Diego, it was the most boring job ever.

He has been dancing all his life. First, at dance school he studied at when he was a kid. His mother made him do it. At first, he didn't like it, but he started to take a liking to dance and realized how good he was at teaching it. He says that dance runs in his blood. Sophie says that dance is his element, is who he is.

Diego is a straightforward and unpredictable guy. He is known as someone incredibly fickle, asking out every girl he sees. According to Sophie, Diego has a fervent Spanish heart and is easy-going and careless in a good way to him, as if he were really leaving the moment. He has an open-minded behavior and jokes with innuendos.

Relationships

Sophie Preston (MC): They have known each other for over a year, and chat with Diego lift Sophie' spirits. He makes it clear that is interested in her, asking her out whenever he has the opportunity. Diego guarantees that he can stop flirting with other girls if she wants. Even if Sophie rejects him, he perseveres. It's up to the player to reciprocate his feelings or not.
Mateo: His nephew. Diego thinks he should try harder in his studies and make it worth the effort Ramona made to get him into university. But he really loves Mateo and cares for him very much.
Ramona: His aunt, and Mateo's mother. She'd been teaching for many years. Diego says that she is a fantastic woman and that Sophie has a lot in common with her. They are very close.

Interesting fact by the writer^[2]: Diego had a strict childhood because of his parents, who really wanted him to become a lawyer and had his life planned way ahead. But one time he escaped from home and went out to a party with his cool aunt, who showed him the magic of dancing.
How Diego met Sophie by the writer^[3]: Sophie decided to go into the dance studio to finally try to learn to dance. There was Diego, dancing tango with his dance partner, and Sophie was at a loss for words, thinking this was the most sensual and beautiful thing she had ever seen. Diego noticed her and asked if she wanted to try it. Sophie ran away and never came back. But after that they saw each other every day, as the dance studio is on the way to Sophie's home. Diego could not help himself each time she passed by. He wanted to teach her to dance.

Note: Sophie thinks about sending a selfie to Diego since he would appreciate her look, but has to wait until the plane lands. Once she is in Prague she recieves a message from Diego that says he doesn't know where she is or what she is doing right now, but he knows he is missing her and wants to see her. He end the text with, "Podría besarte toda la noche."
