"Don't worry. You were fabulous."
Daisy Miller is a love interest in the book Sophie's Ten Wishes.
About Daisy
Daisy is the daughter of Rose Miller, the boss of Sophie Preston (main character). She lives in a luxury apartment in Manhattan financed by her father. Daisy's father is a rich man, owner of a big construction company, who likes to spoil his daughter. Her parents had a rough divorce, and the harshest thing for her is that she found herself between the hammer and the anvil. Daisy says that they just can’t share her.
Her father started his company when he was just a real estate agent. He spent a lot of effort and years until he got what he wanted and succeeded. However, he had to sacrifice a lot for it, like his relationship with Daisy's mom. Rose Miller couldn’t accept that his job was more important to him than she was and became an unbearable woman with a bloated ego. Miller can be nice and be herself only on the rare occasions when she spends a lot of time with Daisy, and when her ex-husband isn’t spoiling their daughter.
Daisy is a charming girl with a melodic voice. Her beauty fascinates everyone around her. But she is more than an outgoing girl who likes to drink, spend her father's money, and that just wants to have fun. Daisy is brave, fearlessness and sincere. Her kindness and open mind are a contrast to her image of a spoiled rich girl. She is more than meets the eye. Daisy has a big heart and loves charity work. Each month she donates money for charity and helps out at a soup kitchen every fortnight.
Relationships
- Sophie Preston (MC): Daisy was interested in Sophie at first sight as soon as she sees her at a casino in Las Vegas in Season 1, Episode 2. They drink a lot and end up having fun together all weekend. But the fact that Daisy is the daughter of Sophie's boss can get in the way of their relationship. Sophie is afraid that eventually Daisy will end up hurting her just like her mother did.
- Rose Miller: Her mother. Daisy says that she is absolutely different from her mom. Rose is trying to bring her daughter up prim and proper.
- Unnamed Father: Daisy says she is spitting image of her father, both in her looks and her personality. Her dad spoils her rotten, expressing his love.
- Becky: Her friend. She is aggressive towards Sophie because she is jealous of Daisy.
Trivia
- Flying in private jets is a common thing to her. (S1, Ep3)
- She has a plush bunny named "Mister Hopper". It used to keep her safe all her childhood, and when her parents would fight, she would hold it tightly for the pain to go away. If Daisy is your main love interest, she gives the plush to Sophie and says, "I know it will seem silly to you, but I want you to always have a part of me with you. Even when I'm not here." (S2, Ep6)
- Daisy's ideal Valentine's Day by the writer[2]: Daisy would like to work at the shelter like a normal day and then treat Sophie with a good apple pie she cooked herself and some tea. Then they'd eat strawberries with whipped cream on the floor by the fridge and end the day with a nice bath soak, watching "Crazy, Stupid, Love."
