About Connor[]
Connor is a tall and sturdy man with freckles and tattoos. He meets Lori and her friends when his roughly made sailboat crashes at sea and he needs to be saved from drowning.
After waking up in Quiet Bay, he explains that he was looking for a fresh start, leaving a ragged slum that hasn't been a city since the Wars. According to him, he always had to watch his back there, describing it as a dangerous place with no electricity and people fighting over water for drinking. He comes across as tough and unafraid, not ready to show any signs of vulnerability. Connor joins the Gitana crew on their way to Homeport, planning to stay there as a refugee. In the beginning, he's overwhelmed by the safe and friendly community he encounters, not knowing how to behave in such a setting. Later, he offers to accompany Lori and her friends on their mission to move the Aquila supplies all the way to Anchorage. He takes a liking in cooking for the crew and manages to save Lori and Sunny from a bear at Cape Decision.
As the story progresses, Connor turns out to be a rafter who betrays Lori and her friends. Shortly after the bear incident, he drugs the crew, takes their dinghy and leaves. In his defense, he says he tried not to lie any more than he had to and wishes things had been different. He also states that he likes Lori and her friends but considers them too trusting and too soft. His motives are yet unknown.

- Chand: Fellow crew member. If both men stay single, Chand starts to catch feelings for Connor.
