Audrey is the main character you play as in the book Astrea's Broken Heart. Her name can be changed at the beginning of the story, or it can stay her default name.

Most choices you make for this character influence one of the following variables: Faith 🙏 (open-minded, direct, honest and open to compromise), Skepticism ⚙️ (cunning, sarcastic, and always stands her ground), and Reputation ✨. These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

About Audrey

Audrey is a psychiatrist starting a new job at Astrea Detective Agency, a firm chasing the supernatural.

Until a month before the story begins, she used to worked at the prestigious Goodlam Psychiatric Clinic. When a patient with acute psychosis attacked her, Audrey had to defend herself but the authorities didn't seem to believe her version of events. As a result, she lost her medical license and left to find a new job.

After reading about an opening as a psychological evaluator at Astrea Detective Agency, she applies and gets invited to meet with Mikael, the director. Audrey remains skeptical about the supernatural, emphasizing that she wants to concentrate on helping people with illnesses. Together with David, a lawyer, she solves her first case and decides to take the job. Over the course of the first few days, Audrey also meets Raphael, an appraiser specializing on cursed objects, Cassiel, the muscle of the agency, and Felonia, a policewoman working as an informant.

Audrey was raised in a cult with her father as a pastor. When she was still a young child, when her chores to the basement had stopped and her father kept a lock on the door, she grew curious. She would even sometimes hear squeaking coming from the room, something her father would claim were bats. Her curiosity one day got the better of her and she lied to her parents about being sick so that she could then steal her fathers key and sneak into the basement. Upon entering the basement she came across a woman, who she perceived as a creature, chained up to a corner with nothing but a sleeping bag. The woman demanded Audrey free her, half crazed and beside herself with anger. The combination of fear from this woman, and hearing her father return lead Audrey to flee the basement instead of helping the woman.

Sometime after this event, the entire church had gathered inside the church, with some members holding guns as everyone was forced to drink from cups. Audrey didn't want to drink from it even though her mother insisted she had to, or her father would make her. Audrey had noted that many members who had already drank were already 'sleeping peacefully'. Before she had been fully forced to drink from the cup, SWAT had broke into the place, killing those with guns and pulling Audrey out of the church. Both parents died that day.

In college, Audrey met Ruth and learned that she had been part of the same cult, just in a different location. The two bonded over the shared trauma and became best friends.

Pet Companion

In Season 1, Episode 4 you encounter a wolf in the forest that you have the opportunity to pet (💎149). This leads to the wolf bonding with Audrey and appears in later episodes to watch over Audrey. The default name for the wolf is "Bruno" but it can be renamed as you please.
