Ari is a journalist from Melbourne, Australia. He has two brothers, and went to university in Melbourne before moving to Caldale. Ari used to be a big name in journalism, but his less that scrupulous practices made him unpopular with some people. At some point he dated Dita, the host of Cross Talk, and they parted on amicable terms.

Throughout the series Ari helps Vera navigate the press and the public, oftentimes using his connections in the media. In Season 3, he helps run TAG Media.
