Amabelle

Amabelle is the main character you play as in the book Shakespeare's Code. Her name can be changed at the beginning of the story, or it can stay her default name.

Most choices you make for your Main Character in this book influence one of the following variables: Sorcery 🔮 (New spells to help you become a skilled sorceress.), Witchcraft 🔥 (Herbs, brews, and potions, allowing you to become an experienced potion master.), Curse 🟢 (Grants great power but demands a high price in return.), Cold Heart 🧡 (Teaches you self-control, but who knows maybe you'll be able to melt it.) These choices change the story, the interactions you have with other characters and the scenes you will be able to play.

About Amabelle

Amabelle was born Roxanne Montgomery to a noble family in the country. She inherited her magical powers from her grandmother, and at some point was captured and sentenced to death. During her execution, lightning struck the pyre, and she was presumed dead but was instead rescued by Merlin/Morgana and brought back to life, becoming a servant to them. At some point she later reemerged and married a sickly but wealthy man who later died. Since then, she has lived in seclusion in her home until she is sent to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Regina: Possible love interest.
Edmund: Pirate and possible love interest.
Ralph: Priest and possible love interest.
Edward Pembroke: Archivist and Possible love interest.
Lady Anne (chose to flee to Scotland)/Catalina (from Spain)/Kaori (from Asia)/Mirabelle (from Mauritania): Grandmother. Her name and origin depend on the MC sprite you pick.

Companion

In Season 1, Ep 1, Merlin/Morgana will summon a shapeshifting creature to watch over Amabelle since they are unable to. His default name is Hobello, but you can rename him as you wish. Hobello is introduced as a toad, but he can also take the form of a crow or a cat. In S1, Ep 8, Amabelle uses her witchcraft/sorcery to temporarily turn Hobello into a man.
